Today’s pic is from the Kusama’s Infinity Mirrors exhibit at the Hirshhorn Museum. Although entrance to the museum is free (thanks Smithsonian!), you still needed to reserve timed passes. Passes were only available online and sold out within 3 minutes of their release. It took me two weeks, but we finally made it. In addition to paintings and sculpture, the exhibit featured 6 rooms with various objects and wall to wall mirrors. This pic is from the lantern room. Each room had enormous lines, and the Hirshhorn actually extended working hours to accommodate the crowds. We were allowed 20 seconds to enter the room, take pics for Instagram (everyone did that) and absorb the awesomeness of each room. We only made it through four of the rooms and left because we were getting cranky from not eating before. I’m going to be online Monday to try to get more passes before the exhibit ends on May 14th.
I can’t believe it’s snowing! Yesterday I was walking around without a coat and it was 68 degrees.
I’m excited to head back to one of my favorite bars, Copycat after work. They make a fine craft cocktail, and it’s a great way to start the weekend.
This weekend I’m finally going to make something with the blue cheese I still have in my fridge: mac and cheese with bacon! I’m going to post it next week. Maybe I’ll post a few teaser photos on Instagram 🙂
