A couple of weeks ago my company hosted an event for Women in Tech. Assisting clients with logistics for various events is just one of the many hats I wear. I have to say, this is one aspect of my job that I really enjoy. I love getting to meet new people from various industries. As a thank you, my client took me out to lunch a DGBG a new-ish French bistro in the City Center Area.
I was indoors briefly and saw that the café looked lovely, but since it was such a nice day we sat outside. Within two seconds of looking at the menu, I saw the croque monsieur and knew that was what I wanted. I decided to give myself an actual minute to see if anything else caught my eye. Everything seemed delicious, but I could already taste the croque and since it’s one of my favorite sandwiches, I knew it would be hard to say no. Who doesn’t like a nice French grilled ham and cheese!
This sandwich was love at first bite. I’ve had many croquet monsieur’s in my time served many different ways, but this would definitely be in my top ten favorite croque’s! The watercress salad was also very good. It was very fresh and had a light vinaigrette. My only regret is that I didn’t have enough room for dessert. I’m definitely looking forward to going back for the charcuterie!
