I few weeks ago I made a Star Wars Cake and decorated the outside with Star Wars shaped marshmallows from the cereal. I saved the cereal for another use, mainly for snacking, but also keeping it for another purpose. I thought I’d make marshmallow treats with them.
This time around I thought I’d brown the butter to see if it would give the treats a subtle nutty flavor. It didn’t, but the treats were still tasty. One interesting note about these treats is that the cereal is made from corn, not rice, so the cereal actually tasted more like Apple Jacks. Ideally it would have been great to dip them in caramel, but I didn’t have any on hand, so I dipped them in chocolate. You can never go wrong with chocolate!
