Five weeks to go before the big move at work and each week is getting more hectic than the previous. Our moving crates arrived today and I’ve literally run laps around the building grabbing artwork, prepping them for the new offices.
I’m also ramping up for my holiday baking season. I still have a few old clients (and one new one!) for my corporate cookie business edith + ethel, so I’ve been baking at night sending out samples for my clients to show their new employees. To say that this has been a busy week is an understatement! I’m really looking forward to going home, kicking back on the couch with a slice of pizza and a nice cocktail.
In honor of my busy week, I’ve dedicated this Friday to the adult beverage. Here are a few of my favorites.
I have to start with my classic which was introduced to me by a friend when I first moved to DC. Behold, the dark and stormy. gurus man cave nailed it!
The el diablo, is another favorite I discovered while visiting a friend in Boston. If you like tequila, check out this recipe from fine cooking.
I could sip on this last of the oaxacans featuring mezal anytime. Courtesy of serious eats.
Most of my friends drink bourbon and it’s finally rubbed off on me. This bourbon bomber cocktail from the life styled, screams yummy comfort!
Have a great weekend!!
