It’s the day before spring and this is what it looks like outside the window at work. It’s been snowing off and on all morning, but I hear that it’s going to be 60 degrees tomorrow, so our first day of spring may actually arrive with spring weather.
During the week I post recipes on my Facebook page that I either find inspiring, or want to try. Here are a few that had me salivating this week.
I had my first slice of banoffee pie at a british café in DC no less and fell I love with it. I’ve been wanting to make one on my own ever since and this recipe from Simply Delicious Food has me motivated.
I’ve been dreaming about this pear pie with red wine and rosemary from Bon Appetit all week.
I am so in love with this Lucky Charmed Cake from Alana Jones-Mann. It’s so pretty! I love how bakers have been getting creative with cereal!
Grilled cheese is one of my favorite foods on this planet, so if someone has a suggestion on improving it, I’m always willing to listen. The Impatient Foodie’s Grilled Cheese with Melted Onion Mix sounds like something I could get behind.
Bacon, cheese, potatoes, leeks combined with mac and cheese. Do I need to say more? The Candid Appetite has all the answers with his Irish Colcannon Mac and Cheese.
Maple Bacon Donuts from Broma Bakery. I think we can stop at bacon and know that we’re headed in the right direction.
I’ve make lemon sweet rolls, cinnamon and grapefruit, but never blood orange. I love the pink icing from the Blood Orange Cinnamon Rolls from Mountain Mama Cooks.
I want this Bailey’s Irish Soda Bread Ice Cream from Food Republic sooooo badly.
Who would’ve thought of dipping burnt toast in caramel? Well Kate Coffey did, and Food52 asked her all about it.
