Canβt believe I forgot to post about Corner Bistro!! After my barge happy hour, my friend and I worked up quite an appetite and I was really in the mood for a burger. While she brainstormed for a few places, I sent a quick text to a good foodie friend of mine asking for recommendations. Both came back with Corner Bistro in the West Village. I immediately fell in love with the neon sign as we approached the place, and that love continued when we walked in.
The place was small, dark and very cozy with jazz playing in the background. We sat at the bar and was greeted by a friendly older gentleman. You could tell that he either owned the place or at least worked then since the place opened.
I ordered a Hoegaarden, and stared at the wonderfully simple menu posted on the wall.
I went for the bacon cheeseburger and fries. Had I known that the burger was going to be this big, I would have cancelled the fries. I mean, look at all this bacon alone.
Who am I kidding, I knew I could probably put this burger down and still have room left for fries, and I did. Somehow. Iβm more amazed and how I was able to squeeze this burger flat enough so I could get it in my mouth.
I looked like something you would see on Man vs Food. I was a spectacular sight to behold, and it tasted just as good as it looked.
That’s a huge burger! Lol
I know! I had to think of a strategy to eat it. But it was with it π
