It’s been a very busy couple of weeks at work! So busy that I’ve had to skip lunch more times than I’d like and have been forced into snacking most days. While I’m a natural grazer, it would be nice to have something other than dry cereal, pretzels or a small bag of nuts. I’ve found myself taking little breaks and staring at delicious these snacks pretending that my cup of dry Fiber One with almonds is really a yummy mac n cheese bite or fried pickles.
I’ve decided to treat myself this weekend by driving through the part of the Shenandoah on the way to Luray Caverns (something I’ve always wanted to do) and having a sinful dinner of fried chicken with funnel cake fries at a place I discovered in the city. In the meantime, I will share some of the delicious looking snacks I craved this week.
These sweet and savory cheese bacon wrapped puff pastry twists from half baked harvest are a must have!
kumquat blog reminded me how much I loved making beet chips and these look scrumptious!
these honey roasted rosemary cashews from chew town would be a welcome alternative to my bland snack pack from the drugstore.
my stomach growled while looking at the macaroni cheese pretzel bites with bacon from foodness gracious. All my favorites combined together.
I don’t think anything needs to be said about the baked bacon cheese onion dip from she wears many hats other than “dig in!”
Have a great weekend!
